| Love Is the feeling when in union with soul |
| August 2, 2009 Clues along the way… I started wondering what, why, and when did I choose the path of love instead of the path of service to mankind, or inner wisdom, or whatever the other paths are; as I now feel like I need to ignore my path just to survive. Then it started to dawn on me that your path is a combination of childhood experience, parental developmental needs at the time of youth, and the direct association of guidance given at an early age by environmental surroundings. Choice of one’s path becomes clear as the need for survival with the authentic self is at risk of regression. Then I again stumbled upon this idea…. Yes, we choose our own paths early on as development of personality forms by the age of six but as we mature we also develop other paths as a result of survival reactive needs just to cope and find some kind of general happiness. We can even forget of paths altogether and blend just to fit in enough within society. My instincts tell me many people have used this second approach to “just fit in” after losing or feeling deep loss in love’s path. Authentic self wants to remain alive but hurt and pain can often suppress love’s path so much that a secondary path emerges so that productive happiness may at least find and bring a secondary authentic self to the surface as far as it can be without love’s path being taken. I see the pleasant purpose behind this route and I am, myself, tempted to apply. I know deep within my own heart this path will not complete my true inner authentic self and therefore I contemplate this serious dilemma I now live. Would it not make since that all paths start with the path of love? Depending on the experience as a child and the twist and turns that lead us into life at all, we may then settle for another way to find happiness. And just possibly, the authentic self can never be happy without the pure path of love. You can become the best leader of the world, you may even solve world peace, world hunger, and all the other problems the plague this planet but at the end of the day find in your own heart an incompleteness as through something is still not finished, still not completely right, and still not fixed. I do not wish to solve the world’s problems for I know that is not my quest. I wish to understand romantic love and experience the purest, highest, and most precious love on earth with another romantic being. That is my quest. And if the experience is not possible in this life I wish to understand the core of existence if not love. Life seems useless without the experiences. I was eighteen and in my third interview for Delta Air Lines. The questions were endless. As we approached the end of the series for that day, noting that I had very high marks and almost hired by this point, the personal interviewer asked me one last thing. Mind you, I have always look at a situation with micro and macro visions, in other words very up close and very far away bigger picture view. So here is the question…”If you could meet anyone from the past, present, or future who would it be and why?” My mind knew this answer!!! I couldn’t go wrong at this point. I have made it through all the interviews and now I knew this answer would guarantee me the great adventure in the skies. What my mind had always asked in the past is who is in charge? Where is the top of this pyramid? Who’s the boss? As the question came through again my mind ran down the list. Who is in charge? Who could introduce me to anyone else who I would need to meet if I changed my mind later?? This answer was immediate “God”. The interviewer dropped his jaw and immediately closed the file and quickly said “Thank you for your time we will be calling you back if we need any other information.” I knew that my answer was not the correct answer Delta Airlines wanted to hear. It was obvious at that moment that I saw life differently than the general public or at the very least Delta Airlines. My older sister was also interviewing and got the job. I asked her what her answer to that question was and she just laughed and said some athlete she thought the interviewer would recognize. I was hurt by the rejection and didn’t understand why the answer “God” wasn’t the only answer that would have been correct. If you want to meet the head guy to all of life why wouldn’t it be God?? Anyway, thank you for reading my first entry into what I hope will be a fun exploration of my thoughts of the morning or day. I do look at things in an unusual way but so too do you. |
| August 3, 2009 Mind your own focus As we are given so many wonderful tools to expand our evolution one must not forget the power of focus. Just as young children, and still some adults, enjoy being told what to do, our mind cannot maintain mobility without someone directing it. You and only YOU are in control of your own focus. Ask yourself who is leading who, down which path, and to where? This will be fun so don’t get scared---you are just checking in with Soul and self… Science, religion, and word leaders are all well aware of this insightful pattern of existence and have been known to overstep a few boundaries, as well as help the unfortunate souls drifting without a clue. I have been a follower many times starting as a child being the youngest following two bigger sisters around. If you were to review your adventures there must have been at least one time you too followed a mystical trial of magic (this “mystical…magic” is just spiced up words for writing’s sake – in other words – “you too may have followed a path that was unknown to you yet already walked by another”). Following has excellent beneficial qualities and for many these can last a life time. For others a skewed angle may rock their world of play and recovering from the illusion break may never reset. In the case of NO reset, we find new paths never before walked, new leaders to follow, or at the least we remain disillusioned, bitter, sad, confused, and jaded. This latter state leads to wars, violence, and deep depression leading the human down dark paths of very hard to reach places sometimes never to return. Now you may be saying, well I knew of the paths, anyone would know of the paths. Great! Let’s keep moving. You are on a path, if you are breathing, and you have control over the adventure only if you have control over your mind! If you busy yourself to much, if you ignore what your body is telling you, if you get lost in drama, and if you do not find closeness to soul….then yes you are NOT in control of your mind, NOT in control of your path, and NOT in control of the true authentic YOU. Meditation will help some, prayer can help others, time alone can still help as well and a list of other experiences like that of nature has also been beneficial to some. Connecting to Soul is the key, but understanding that the mind cannot be expected to control itself! The Soul must at least check in every once in a while, if not daily, hourly, and every moment. The Soul communicates to self and self must control the mind. Don’t ask me the difference between Soul and Self – just imagine Soul communicates with all levels of existence and self represents the expressional human part of soul if the communication is taken without distortion due to the many playground choices on earth that a human may become consumed with. This reflection of my thinking today can and should even go deeper into the study of your own nature, your own adventures, and your own paths. |
